| Goserelin (D-Lys6), Glp-His-Trp-Ser-Tyr-Lys-Leu-Arg-Pro-Gly-NH2, [D-Lys6]-LH-RH |
| Luteinizing-hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) (GnRH) is a decapeptide (pyroQHWSYKLRPG-NH2) trophic hormone that regulates the release of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) from the anterior pituitary. After knock-out of GnRH-I receptor expression, GnRH-II agonist [D-Lys6]GnRH-II still activated PTP and inhibited the EGF-induced mitogenic signal transduction. This peptide has a D-amino acid Lys to increase resistance to degradation. The analogue is used as potential targeting agents in the development of chemotherapies and as possible agonists and antagonist of the LHRH receptor. |
