CD4, also known as L3T4, T4, and W3/25, is an approximately 55 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein that is expressed predominantly on thymocytes and a subset of mature T lymphocytes. It is a standard phenotype marker for the identification of T cell populations.Integral membrane glycoprotein that plays an essential role in the immune response and serves multiple functions in responses against both external and internal offenses. In T-cells, functions primarily as a coreceptor for MHC class II molecule:peptide complex.
Recombinant Human CD4/LEU3 Protein is expressed from Expi293 with hFc at the C-terminal. It contains Lys26-Trp390.

The protein has a predicted MW of 67.5 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 70-80 kDa based on the Tris-Bis PAGE result.
Immobilized Human CD4 at 0.5ug/ml (100ul/Well) on the plate. Dose response curve for Biotinylated Anti-CD4 Antibody, hFc Tag with the EC50 of 20.9ng/ml determined by ELISA. See testing image for detail.

Less than 1EU per ug by the LAL method.
Lyophilized from 0.22 um filtered solution in PBS, 100mM L-Arginine (pH 7.4). Normally 5% trehalose is added as a protectant before lyophilization.
Reconstituted protein stable at -80 C for 12 months, 4 C for 1 week. Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shipped at ambient temperature.
Centrifuge tubes before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration of more than 100 ug/ml is recommended. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water.
