Glanzmann thrombasthenia (GT) is characterized by mucocutaneous bleeding due to platelets that fail to aggregate in response to physiologic stimuli. GT, a rare inherited disease, is caused by quantitative or qualitative deficiencies of ?IIb?3, an integrin receptor for adhesive proteins. Coded by the ITGA2B and ITGB3 genes, ?IIb?3 mediates platelet-to-platelet attachment, aggregation and clot retraction.
Recombinant Human Integrin alpha 2B beta 3 (ITGA2B&ITGB3) Heterodimer Protein is expressed from Expi293 with His tag at the C-terminal. It contains Leu32-Arg993(ITGA2B)&GLy27-Asp718(ITGB3).

The protein has a predicted MW of 110.5 kDa (ITGA2B)&81.3 kDa (ITGB3). Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 95-115 kDa based on the Tris-Bis PAGE result.

Lyophilized from 0.22 um filtered solution in PBS (pH 7.4). Normally 8% trehalose is added as a protectant before lyophilization.
Reconstituted protein stable at -80 C for 12 months, 4 C for 1 week. Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shipped at ambient temperature.
Centrifuge tubes before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration of more than 100 ug/ml is recommended. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water.
