CD40 ligand or CD40L, also called CD154, is a protein that is primarily expressed on activated T cells and is a member of the TNF superfamily of molecules. It binds to CD40 (protein) on antigen-presenting cells (APC), which leads to many effects depending on the target cell type. In total CD40L has three binding partners: CD40, ?5?1 integrin and ?IIb?3. CD154 acts as a costimulatory molecule and is particularly important on a subset of T cells called T follicular helper cells.
Recombinant Mouse CD40 Ligand/TNFSF5 Trimer Protein is expressed from Expi293 with monomeric hFc tag at the N-terminal. It contains Met112-Leu260.

The protein has a predicted MW of 75.6 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 76-80 kDa based on the Tris-Bis PAGE result.
Immobilized Mouse CD40, His Tag at 1ug/ml (100ul/well) on the plate. Dose response curve for Mouse CD40 Ligand Trimer, hFc Tag with the EC50 of 0.12ug/ml determined by ELISA. See testing image for detail.

Less than 1EU per ug by the LAL method.
Lyophilized from 0.22 um filtered solution in PBS, 200mM L-arginine (pH 7.4). Normally 8% trehalose is added as a protectant before lyophilization.
Reconstituted protein stable at -80 C for 12 months, 4 C for 1 week. Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shipped at ambient temperature.
Centrifuge tubes before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration of more than 100 ug/ml is recommended. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water.
